Large corporate organisations will tend to have their own defined framework for managing their programmes, projects and initiatives often based on recognised formal methodologies, such as PRINCE2, and will employ full-time professional managers with the requisite skills.
Smaller businesses may not however be able to justify this level of investment but nevertheless need to run projects and initiatives from time to time and will rely on their own staff to take responsibility for managing these in addition to carrying out their 'day jobs'.
Depending on project size and/or complexity, management may be possible on a part-time basis but if this is not the key skill set of the appointed manager then the risk of project failure is high.
Wychfield can help by providing a range of services:
Training in the fundamentals of project management,
(either on a one-to-one basis or as an in-house group session)
Project start-up and planning to help you get going on one or more projects
Project mentoring on a periodic basis to keep you on the right track
Creation of reference material for on-going use
(processes, standards, tools and techniques)
Any or all of these services can be provided as required. One of our key principles is that we will tailor our services specifically to meet client requirements.
